We make charcuterie and cutting boards from interesting lumber extracted from dead or distressed trees, mostly from a friend’s farm in Aberfoyle. The dried wood is taken for completion to our workshop at our home in Brantford. Woods used are mostly maple, ash, birch, beech, walnut and cherry.
Our products are used in food preparation and presentation. As a result, they come finished and food-safe. After sanding, boards are coated with food-grade mineral oil followed by an application of beeswax paste.
Our boards can be very small to quite large. They make an excellent choice for gifts because they are practical and each one is unique. Inventory is currently large and always evolving; please check to confirm availability of a particular choice or to discuss options. We do not have a store, but we do display and sell from home if you arrange a time with me.
Let me know what you have in mind and I will send you photos in an attempt to find the right one for you.
Bruce.
